The advanced-level course is for students who have a good conceptual and vocal base to take their skills to the next level. At this stage, it will be a lot more complex in that we'll be dealing with more challenging concepts, sight reading, and singing. Students should be dedicated and diligent in their practice sessions. This course will be following the Italian pedagogy of vocal music to get a more full, rounded, and versatile voice.

The Italian school of vocal pedagogy is the best when it comes to voice training. The outcome will be evident in the voice of the student. Sight singing and being able to read notes and understanding rhythm are important here. At this stage, the students will learn to train their voices in the Western Classical music way. Even if this style isn't what the student sings traditionally, it can help them when it comes to perfecting the vocal techniques.
After reaching this level, the students should work on strengthening the voice even more, working on the tone, working on agility some more (which is not so easy), and being able to control the volume, etc. With consistent practice, the student will begin to see a huge difference in their voice texture and tone. The primary focus of this course will be on - tone and agility. Equal emphasis will be given to strengthening the falsetto/ head voice and making it stronger.
About the teacher
Rajni Shivram has been trained in Indian Classical Music from the age of 8 till 16. After that, she realized that Blues and Jazz were her true calling. She is currently pursuing Western classical music to become an opera singer.
Rajni has performed with one of the pioneer Blues bands of India, The Chronic Blues Circus, for 3 years. At present, she has her band by the name Midnight Poppies. Her band's original compositions have been featured worldwide, in various countries like Canada, the UK, USA (Texas, Chicago), the Netherlands, etc. They have also featured on DD National's first-ever show for Indie bands - "Rock the Night".
Rajni has been teaching for the last three years. She finds joy in teaching technique training - an area that she specializes in.
Her teaching methodology comes from her years of practicing and correcting her techniques. She has studied and assimilated all the information to present it to the students in a systematic, structured manner so that is it easy to understand and enjoyable at the same time.
