'Introduction to the Slide Guitar' is a long-term course which aims to introduce students to the basics of this relatively new instrument. Suitable for professionals, students may play another instrument or already have a good understanding of Hindustani classical music.
This course will cover the basics, including ragas, left and right-hand techniques, coordination, balancing the tone of the guitar and how to hold the slide guitar. Students will be required to practice in their own time in order to develop their skills and complete any assignments they are set before their next lesson.
Hindustani classical music has a long and interesting history, and 'Introduction to the Slide Guitar' is suitable for those who have a basic appreciation and understanding of this musical style. As such, it's aimed at students who are above 5 years old.
