If your choice of instrument is the Slide Guitar, whether the Mohan veena, Dobro, Weissenborn Guitar, Electric lap steel or Bottle neck, then these classes are an ideal bid for you. Students will learn basic exercises of left and right-hand playing techniques, exercises of playing small phrases and long paltas (long musical patterns). Students will also be introduced to Ragas, it's compositions and improvisations. For interested students, tunes of film songs too shall be included in the course.

About the Teacher: Born in a family of music lovers, Manish was introduced to Indian classical music by his parents. After a few years of learning the basics of classical vocals, he started his initial training in Indian slide guitar from Late Shri Vishnu Waliwadekar. Manish is one of the senior disciples of Ustad Shahid Parvez, the famous sitar maestro of Itawa Gharana. He has an impressive experience of more than twenty years.
Manish was awarded the Title ‘SURMANI’ by Sur Sringar Samsad, Mumbai. He is a recipient of The Music Excellence award 2019, from Cameroon creations Goa. He also has received an exclusive honour from the WORLD BOOK OF RECORDS, London. Manish is an artist of All India Radio and Television.
Manish has won many accolades performing solo, Duets and Fusion concerts, collaborating with fellow musicians from India and also international musicians like Blues legend Michael Messer, Saxophone maestro George Brooks and African Kora player Lamine Cissokho. Manish has recorded music albums with International maestros like Hector Zazou (IN THE HOUSE OF MIRRORS), Michael Messer (CALL OF THE BLUES), and Lamine Cissokho (NEW CONTINENTS).
Manish is a highly qualified sound engineer from the prestigious film school of India, FTII, Pune. With his knowledge of sound and music, Manish is frequently invited to film schools to conduct workshops. Manish has also worked on various feature films (Life of Pi, Eat pray love) and documentary projects as a sound engineer.
