Course Summary
This course is designed for all levels, beginners to professionals Trombonist. In this 1-on-1 online Trombone Lessons with Colin Pulkrabek, students will study trombone fundamentals, trombone specific techniques, and improvisation. Through a variety of exercises, etudes, and repertoire Colin will work with each student to improve his or her technique as a beginner or push them to the next level if they are a more advanced trombonist. These lessons with Colin are fun, focused, and productive taking place in weekly 30-minute sessions, over 8 weeks.

About the Course
This custom course is tailored specifically to each student's level. In this course, beginners will study trombone basics such as tone production, lip slurs, intonation and slide technique. Also, Colin will work with each student on trombones etudes, a piece written for practice purposes, to combine and push students' playing abilities to the next level. In addition, more advanced players will also study other selected and customized materials. Finally, through work on scales, scale patterns and improvisation, students will learn ear-training, time and rhythm skills.
By the end of this course and through a regular practice of learnings from this course, students will gain an improved tone, intonation, and musicianship. Students will also gain an improved trombone technique, stamina, and range. And an improved improvisation, music theory knowledge, ability to further improvise.
About the Coach: Colin is a trombonist, beatboxer, and teaching artist in Seattle, WA. He has been playing trombone for over 20 years and teaching jazz, trombone, piano, and beatboxing for over 10 years. He attained a Degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Washington in 2011. He has performed in venues big and small, all across the world, from Longview, Washington to Pori, Finland.
