Learn Piano and Theory of Music - Level 4

There is no age limit to start learning the piano. Anyone between the ages of 7 and 70 can learn to play music!

Music is a subject, just like Mathematics and Science, and is as important as any academic curriculum. It takes patience and persistence to learn. A committed student, who puts in the required amount of practice every day, can complete the entire course in 4 to 5 years.

If a student wishes to appear for the international music exams conducted by Trinity College of London, training for each grade exam will begin at the end of the course levels mentioned here - Course Level 1: No exam, Course Level 2: Initial level exam, Course Level 3: Grade 1 exam, Course Level 4: Grade 2 exam, Course Level 5: Grade 3 exam, and Course Level 6: Grade 4 exam. The exam dates and curriculum will be shared during the online piano classes and the preparation module will be planned accordingly.

This course will require practice time outside of lessons. Time spent practicing may vary from 15 minutes per day to an hour, depending on a student’s level of interest. Students who wish to become professional pianists will need more hours of practice per day using a different set of exercises and materials than students who are seeking to learn piano as a hobby. A detailed structure for home practice for each student will be discussed and explained during class.

The student is required to inform the teacher about his/her absence from a particular session, two days prior to the class. In such a case, the teacher will reschedule the class and conduct the rescheduled class on or before the end (i.e. Saturday) of the ensuing week or such other time as may be mutually decided between the teacher and the student. In case the student fails to give two days prior notice about his/her absence to the teacher, then the decision to conduct another class for that student is completely based on the teacher’s discretion.

Students should get a response within 24 hours if the teacher is not preoccupied or traveling.

If the teacher is unavailable for the scheduled class, he/she will inform the students two days before the class. The teacher will conduct the rescheduled class on or before the end (i.e. Saturday) of the ensuing week or such other time as may be mutually decided between the teacher and the student.
