This is a beginner's course for musical composition designed for students who have already achieved a base level understanding of musical theory. However, a review of musical scales and other concepts will be provided if needed. Notes and chord progressions will be reviewed in-depth while instructor Chiara Lo Faro helps students incorporate rhythm and chord techniques to add musical ornamentation to their sound. When the student is ready to move forward, the instructor will guide them through the process of improvising for the first time. This will allow students to play music intuitively, without guidance. This is the first step of music composition.

About Ms. Chiara Lo Faro: Chiara Lo Faro started musical training at the young age of seven with a simple keyboard. Later, she moved on to explore Western classical piano and began excelling through several advanced conservatory exams in Italy on topics including; harmony, singing, ear training, transposition and more. She was selected to receive a full scholarship by the European Union to be part of a project requiring 100+ hours of music making - a project named "Soundscapes" - which contributed to Chiara Lo Faro’s first recorded studio track at the age of 15. Currently, she teaches students from around the globe one-to-one online, as well as in person, while also working on her on compositions. Her multi-linguistic abilities - fluent in English, French, Italian, and having a working knowledge of Hindi - allow her to pass on her education to students from all nationalities.
