Pakhawaj is one of the ancient membranophones. It is as much a part of classical music as it is a part of folk music. It is believed to be the predecessor of the Tabla.
In this introductory course, the early learners get an opportunity to delve deep into the aesthetics of Pakhawaj. The students will learn about the history and origin of the instrument. They will get to know the Pakhawaj - part by part. Further, the lessons will unfurl concepts of Taal and Laya.
The students will learn to play the instrument one syllable at a time. And as the course proceeds, the students continue to gain the confidence to play the pakhawaj with aplomb.
