Monoprinting is a type of printmaking that is carried out by creating a base template of design using paint, depicting lines or images, which is then used to print the design onto another surface. This base template and the design can only be used once. In the instance of making changes to the design a new base template has to be created. Students undergoing this course will learn the do’s and dont’s of monoprinting to create original designs. They will learn five techniques of monoprinting namely; Brushing, scratching, layering, leafing and texturing.
