About the Teacher: Pavan Masur has an impressive 8 years experience of teaching the Mridangam. He initially learnt Mridanga under Vid. H L Shivashankara Swami (AIR staff artist, Mysore). And is currently learning under the able guidance of Vid. Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma.
Pavan is a recipient of the Karnataka Sangeeta Nruthya Academy scholarship. He was awarded the “Best Mridangist” from Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, Mysore. On the occasion of ‘Nadakishorotsava’ – 2018(Youth Classical Music competition). He has shared the stage with several senior artists and has performed in various parts of India.
