Learn to Play the Mridangam- Beginner’s Level

The time duration for every Mridangam course has been mentioned on our category page. The duration is proportionate to the curriculum and also the level at which you're learning the mridangam in our course.

From age - 6 to 70 - anybody can start learning Mridangam.

Mridangam is a percussion instrument that requires strong conceptual knowledge of rhythm and time. Besides, the students should have strong hands and physical abilities to sit for long hours with the instrument on their lap and play.

The student is required to inform the teacher about their absence from a particular session, two days prior to the class. In such a case, the teacher will reschedule the class and conduct the rescheduled class on or before the end (i.e. Saturday) of the ensuing week or such other time as may be mutually decided between the teacher and the student. In case the student misses to give two days prior notice about their absence to the teacher, then the decision to conduct another class for that student is completely based on the teacher’s discretion.

In case the teacher is unavailable for the scheduled class, he/she will inform the students two days prior to the class. The teacher will conduct the rescheduled class on or before the end (i.e. Saturday) of the ensuing week or such other time as may be mutually decided between the teacher and the student.
