- The art of presentation - With rigorous practice, you will gain confidence to present a well-choreographed Kathak dance composition on stage. You will learn the right ways of entering the stage, utilizing the space on stage in a solo or group performance, and keeping the audience engaged.

About the Course
The highlights of this course include -
- Taal Dhamar - It has a 14-beat cycle divided into 4 sections with a beat distribution of 5+2+3+4. It is a complex taal. It is used by dancers to explore more intricate and expressive forms of Kathak dance.
- Ektaal - A 12-beat cycle divided into six groups of two beats each, making it easy to follow and perform. Its steady and even rhythm makes it suitable for numerous compositions and improvisations.
- One Tarana - ‘Ta Dhim Ta Tani Tani Ta Dhim Tanana Dir Ta Dere Na’ - the unique rhythmic and lyrical sequence of syllables that intrigues musicians, dancers, and audiences alike.
- One Thumri/ Bhajan - Thumri in Kathak dance is a beautiful blend of music, emotion, and movement. It allows the dancer to connect deeply with the audience, using expressive storytelling to bring the lyrics and music to life.
- Bhajans are devotional songs that form a predominant theme for Kathak dance.
- Gat Bhav - Gat Bhav in Kathak is a captivating blend of rhythm and expression, allowing dancers to showcase their storytelling abilities and connect with the audience on an emotional level. It highlights the versatility and depth of Kathak as both a classical dance form and a medium for narrative expression. A detailed Gat Bhav will be taught in this course.
About the Teacher
Pallavi was born into a distinguished family with a rich cultural heritage. Her father, Pratap Pawar, is an acclaimed violinist and a foremost disciple of Padma Bhushan Pandit V.G. Jog. He served at the Central Sangeet Natak Akademi in New Delhi. Her mother, Seema Pawar, is a Sangeet Prabhakar in Vocal Music.
Pallavi showed a love for dance from an early age and began her Kathak training at seven at Kathak Kendra in Delhi. She studied the Lucknow Gharana style under Guru Munna Lal Shukla, Guru Reba Vidyarthi, and Guru Bharti Gupta. Pallavi excelled, earning a scholarship and completing her Post Diploma. She then achieved her Nritya Visharad from Bhatkhande University of Music, Lucknow.
She has performed at festivals like "Kathak Mahotsav" and "Chhatra Utsav" and participated in various dance dramas. An accomplished choreographer, she teaches at her dance school, Prashaa Nritya Academy, and judges state-level competitions at UP Sangeet Natak Akademi, Lucknow.
