About the Course

This course introduces students to the basics of microwave and convection cooking, which can be used to create fast, delicious, healthy meals in any kitchen. Students will learn the recipes of some popular snacks, vegetables, pulaos, biryani, baked items, sweets and puddings, all cooked using a microwave. Students will learn 3 recipes in each session and in total 15 receips over the span of 5 weeks. The recipes students will learn may include Jeera Aloo, Steamed Pakora Chaat, Dahi Curry with Pakora, Jeera Rice, Navratan Korma, Paneer Tikka, Vegetable Biryani, Khandavi, Healthy whole wheat flour brownie, Meethi Seviyan, Nan Khatai - an Indian cookie, Banana Walnut Muffins, Fruit Custard and old English trifle. In addition to recipes, students will pick up tips and tricks to making fast gourmet cuisine. This course is best for students who want delicious, home cooked meals but don’t have the time to make traditional recipes.

Students will have the opportunity to learn from a chef with nearly three decades of experience in Indian cooking. Receiving one-on-one attention from an accomplished chef provides guidance and direction for students to excel. Microwave Cooking for Beginners with Sunita Minglani provides students with a foundation in convection cuisine from which students can build and make their own. Class size is limited to five students, ensuring that each student gets the attention they need while also allowing students to learn from each other, as well as from the instructor.

Sunita Minglani runs her own cooking school, Kitchen Craft Cooking School, and hosts a cooking show on ETV called Rasoi Se.
