Topics to be covered

In the flute lessons, students will be introduced to the right way of holding and blowing the flute. Then, you’ll be taught twelve flute notes comprising of major and minor notes, such as sa, re, ga, ma, pa, dha, ni. These seven notes will be practiced on different scales and patterns, before getting introduced to taal or rhythmic cycles. Moving on, students will learn shuddh and komal notes in different patterns, practicing ascending and descending notes. After learning about talas and sargams, ragas such as bhoopali, yaman and durga will be covered. This and plenty more will lay a strong basic foundation in Hindustani and Carnatic flute lessons.
