Throughout the classes, Judy will teach not only vocal techniques but also tone, articulation, pacing, phrasing, facial and body language that will elevate the student's ability to captivate their audience. Vocal tone - Students will learn how to choose, change and control their vocal tone to draw in their audience and persuade them to listen and engage. Articulation - Judy will also show students how to speak with better clarity in their voice, leaving no one in the audience second-guessing what the student has said. Pacing and phrasing - Not only will tone and clarity help students make a bigger impact but also through their pace and phrasing. A more impactful speaker is one who knows how to hold their audience, even when they are not speaking. Facial and body language - This is as important on a stage as it is in a smaller group setting. Audiences want to see when a speaker is passionate or confident in what they are saying so that they can connect with them.
Judy will show students exactly how to incorporate hand gestures not only for impact but also as a breathing control technique. Judy can also help students to eliminate vocally abusive habits and also create a more interactive experience when they speak, which helps to invite more appropriate responses from audiences.
