About the Teacher: Accomplished vocalist, Sonal Shah has an impressive teaching experience of more than 30 years. She is classically trained, with a postgraduate degree in Music from Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women’s University (SNDT). She excels in music genres like Hindustani Classical Vocals, Ghazal, and Sufi music.

She has been honored with ‘Sur-mani’, the national accolade for Indian Classical Music. She is a performing artist at All India Radio for 30 years. She has also been interviewed by a Pakistani Radio Channel, ‘Dhamaal’, for her service as a Sufi and a Ghazal singer. 

In addition to her musical studies, Shah has also become fluent in the Urdu language to ensure a complete and deep understanding of Urdu poetry as it contributes to Ghazal music.
