This course is designed for students who are preparing for their Prarambhik and Praveshika Pratham examination in Hindustani Classical Vocals. However, students who don’t wish to appear for the exams can also enroll.
The course curriculum is created in accordance with the Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalay Mandal syllabus. Hence, the syllabus follows a well-defined progression, ensuring systematic learning from basics to advanced levels.

About the Course
The highlights of this course include -
Practical knowledge of notes that include the following combination of structured exercises, listening practice, and vocal training -
Students are introduced to the seven fundamental notes (Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni) in Shuddha (natural) and Vakra (distorted) form.
Repeated practice of individual swaras to develop clarity and singing notes using the vowel sound.
Doing the Sargam practice by singing swaras in different patterns to build accuracy.
Basic Alankars will be taught that are expected in the exam. Additionally, information on how swaras are identified will also be taught.
Emphasis on ear training by recommended song list.
Practical knowledge of Raagas set for the exam

About the Teacher
Born in a family of music lovers he has been learning music and performing since 3 years of age. At the age of 9, he sang a Marathi duet for All India Radio.
Onkar received advanced training in light music from Dr Saleel Kulkarni, Pandit Ramesh Kanole, and Pandita. Sita for Indian classical Music. Onkar is a ‘Sangeet Visharad’ with a special qualification from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai. He is a Graded Radio Artist for Light Music by Prasar Bharti Aakashvani Pune.
He has won several music competitions and performed as a lead singer in various music shows in major cities in India. He has also performed in front of renowned people like eminent historian Padma Vibhushan Shri. Babasaheb Purandare, Lyricist Shri. Pravin Devane, Singer Shri Shridhar Fadke, International Jaltarang player Pandit. Shri Milind Tulankar.
In the United Kingdom, he has performed at prestigious venues like Maharashtra Mandal, London and Mauritian Marathi Society, London and also several other venues in the U.K
