It will help you in gaining a deeper knowledge and understanding of the development of the ragas. It will focus on the small intricacies of the raga music as well as on the badhat (development) and improvisation in a raga.
In this course, the students will learn the advanced techniques that enable them to bring out the full potential of their voices! By the end of this course, a student will be able to present a Bada Khayal and at least two chota khayals in a raag along with self-improvised alaaps, sargams, and taans.

About the Teacher
Arul Seth is a Hindustani classical vocalist belonging to the Kirana Gharana. He started his musical journey at the age of 9 under the tutelage of Smt. Mousumi Dasgupta in Siliguri, West Bengal. After shifting to Ghaziabad he came under the able guidance of Late Smt. Kamal Hanspal (Top Grade AIR Artist) and Dr. Vinod Gandharv played a vital role in his progress. Currently, he is also getting the best technical guidance from Pt. Harish Tiwari(disciple of Bharat Ratna Bhimsen Joshi) of Kirana Gharana. As part of his formal music education, he has completed his MA in Hindustani music from the University of Delhi and won the Gold Medal on its completion. His gayaki reflects and has influences from the Kirana Gharana because of his training and exposure to the system. Apart from Khayals, he also excels in semi-classical forms such as Thumris, Bhajans, and Ghazals.
He is an empaneled artist of All Indian Radio and also has been awarded the CCRT scholarship for Young Artists by the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India. He recently got a scholarship from the National Council of Performing Arts, Mumbai. He was also awarded the first prize in the Indian Film Project festival for his song "KATI PATANG". He has performed in various cities all over the country such as Delhi, Mumbai, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Guwahati, Silchar, Siliguri, Kolkata, and Lucknow to name a few.
