Course Summary
This course, designed for beginners aims at facilitating a smooth learning process to imbibe the basics of Indian classical music. The teachers - Anahita and Apoorva have split the foundation course into two parts only to make sure that the learning of each concept (both - theory and practical) is profound.
This all-rounded course helps the student to -
- Become vocally adept to traverse through two and a half octaves effortlessly with a perfect pitch.
- Learn effective techniques to improve voice production and vocal technique
- Learn the important aspects of a Raga beyond its notes alone, in terms of its characteristic usage, key phrases, sustained notes, etc.
- Identify the notes of a raga, by just listening to the scale
- Master the correct breathing technique required to sing
- Develop a nuanced understanding of music along with the theory

About the Teacher
Known for their attention to detail, both Anahita and Apoorva are passionate Gurus. They have been training students, both young and old for almost a decade. What started as informal guidance to other students as senior disciples of their Guru, they imbibed the techniques applied by their Gurus that helped them understand and appreciate such a sophisticated system of music at such young ages.
They have had the opportunity to learn from several masters of the field as well as collaborate with some of the most iconic Gurus of our classical system which further enhanced their own natural instincts to impart knowledge.
