Course Summary
This pro-level course takes place in 45-minute sessions, once a week for 24 weeks. This advanced course on Bollywood singing lessons from Shriram Iyer is majorly aimed at learning and performing for your peer group as well as pro-level performances and recordings and turning singing into a career if the student has a passion for it. This course has three major aspects where students will first be trained with advanced aspects of singing Bollywood songs. Then the teacher will teach effective and practical tips on how to apply these learnings in stage performances/shows/recordings. Once the students are equipped with this knowledge and are ready, the teacher will also train the students on how to easily audition for reality and stage shows.

About the Course
In this course, the student will be given lessons on advanced aspects of Bollywood songs such as breathing, dynamics, how to handle lyrics, how to control tough tempos, how to sound soulful and how to identify the USP of your singing and build on it. Students will learn how to handle the show and studio microphone, how to perform on stage, how to connect with the audience, how to think out of the box musically, how to get tracks made if you are living outside India and how to perform alone on those tracks if you cannot find local musicians, and how to handle a show & give a superhit performance if your audience is not too receptive or vice versa. Shriram Iyer has been jury on Zee Saregamapa for the past 3 seasons so for the students who reach a certain standard he can get them ready for auditions in saregamapa, with live show organizers and Shriram Iyer will give the talented students an opportunity to share the stage with him.
About Teacher: Multilingual singer and performer Shriram Iyer began his career in 1998. He specializes in modern concepts and is known for his unique ability to blend various genres of music. Well versed in classical, Bollywood, Sufi and fusion, Iyer’s command of the many musical genres has led him to a place of notoriety within the musical community. Iyer has performed playback singing for films including IQBAL, Umar, Udaan, No One Killed Jessica, Shor in the City and more. Iyer composed and sung title tracks for many serials including Shaabaash India, Titan Antakshari, Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Lil Champs & Rock N Roll Family for Zee TV and also Zinda Dil for Zee Next. Times Music launched Iyer’s album ‘OM- a fusion’ which has since been nominated for the Sangeet awards held in San Francisco. Recently in March 2020, Shriram Iyer has started shooting as Jury for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Lil Champs.

As an advanced vocal course, students will need to have completed Shriram’s Course on Basics of Playback Singing and Live Performance Coaching, or a similar course, before enrolling. Students will need to bring a pen and paper for note-taking but all other materials will be provided by the instructor. Before enrollment, students will need to ensure they have the time to dedicate to practice in addition to the class time. Successful completion of this course will enable students to effectively perform on stage, and get ready to win any reality or stage show auditions.
