About the Teacher: Prabir Bhattacharya is a highly accomplished musician and exponent of the new generation of sitarists. He has an extensive background in music, including his experience as a scholar, educator, performer and composer.
Studying music since the age of 12, Mr Bhattacharya has trained under world-renowned artists. He has two degrees in music from Rabindra Bharati University, a Bachelor in Arts with honours and a Master in Arts, and numerous awards and scholarships.
For the past ten years, he’s been performing in India and abroad, including a recent tour in Russia. Mr Bhattacharya also serves as a visiting fellow at the Sai Mirpuri Music College of Higher Learning.
