Over the course of 12 weeks, Ellie Seligmann will teach students the basic music theory needed to read music and train the student to translate notated sheet music into sung music. The ability to sight read enables a singer to learn new songs by reading sheet music, even if they have never heard the song before. It is a skill often required in choral singing but is a useful tool for every singer no matter their singing style.
